Every summer my favorite weekends are the ones that we spend at our family lodge. It's so much fun to relax and get away. This was a fun weekend that we spent up a the lodge for the 4th of July. Evenings out on the lake are the best, and the sunsets are amazing!

This is a really fun shoot that I did with my little cousin Celine. She's such a stitch, and has a great personality. Not to mention very photogenic! She needed a couple shots for her acting portfolio and an upcoming summer play. Needless to say, we had a total blast hanging out together. She was such a trooper and did whatever I asked. Thanks Celine! Break a leg!

I know it's been a while since I've blogged last. I've had a crazy busy last few weeks. It all started with selling our house! In a market like this, it's amazing. Not only did we sell the house, but we closed just about a month after the offer was accepted. So, the last few weeks I've been cleaning and packing like a mad woman! Now that it's past, I can get back to my everyday routine. Goodbye home!!

Some of my photography friends come up with a challenge every month. It's a way for us to have some fun together, even when we're apart. It also keeps our creative eye sharp. I was so excited when the challenge was doors. I have a thing for millwork and hardware. I guess that is the product of the construction blood that flows in my veins. We just sold our house, and are planning to build again. The first thing I had picked out, even before a house plan or lot, is the doors!
These doors were found in downtown Stillwater while I was shopping with my husband. Here it is our 6th wedding anniversary, and I'm snapping pictures of doors. He's so patient with me!

It's easy to see where Betsy gets her great personality and cute looks. She's a mama's girl, that's for sure. These pictures were taken while we were just sitting in the grass talking and relaxing. Isn't that what summer is for?!
